A developer has applied to the township to construct a three-story self-storage building at the intersection of eastbound Route 22 and Route 28. Bridgewater Storage LLC, of Teaneck, is proposing to demolish the buildings on the two lots on the 5.43-acre site to build the 120,570-square-foot self-storage facility. The Park Rapids City Council granted an extension of a conditional use permit (CUP) for Northscape Properties LLC to build a multi-phase self-storage and outdoor boat storage business at 1408 Edmond Dr., zoned B-1 highway business. According to the Minnesota Secretary of State’s office, the LLC is registered to Mark Harmon of Nevis. There’s going to be a lot more space to store stuff in Warwick given the appearance of the giant self-storage facility going up at Jefferson Place near the northern end of Jefferson Boulevard. Under construction on a 1.28-acre parking lot, the four-story, 120,000-square-foot building gained preliminary plan approval from the city Planning Board on May 10, 2023. The Zoning Board had previously granted the project dimensional variances for fewer-than-required parking spaces and less-than-required landscaping and side yard setbacks.
