Self Storage Facility Opens on Site of Former Weis Store

The Washington D.C.-based Arcland Property Company has opened its first self-storage facility in Pennsylvania.

The facility is located in the Penn Shopping Plaza at 1049 Baltimore St. in Penn Township, York County near Hanover.

The first phase of the self-storage project is the conversion of a former Weis grocery store that was renovated into a self-storage facility, which includes 51,109 square feet and 328 units. The facility opened on May 18. The grocery store was vacant since the early 2000′s.

Self Storage Plus has been retained to manage the property. This marks the first location for Self Storage Plus in Pennsylvania. The property has all ground level access with a mix of climate control and drive-up storage units as well as parking spots for boats and recreational vehicles.
