Tennessee Firm Plans $6 Million Extra Space Storage Facility in Framingham

A Tennessee company has proposed a 90,000-square-foot storage facility at 579 Old Connecticut Path in Framingham.

The self storage facility, consisting of two buildings, is estimated to cost more than $6 million, according to an application submitted to the City of Framingham’s planning board by Katherine Garrahan a partner at Worcester-based law firm Bowditch & Dewey, on behalf of her client, PSI Atlantic Framingham MA, LLC, which is an affiliate Tennessee-based Premier Storage Investors.

The property is owned by 58 Exchange Realty, LLC of Milford, which last purchased it in 2016 for $3.1 million, according to City of Framingham property records. It is assessed by the City at $574,600. It is being used as a landscape materials yard, according to the application.

The storage facility plans indicate the facility will be operated by Extra Space Storage, the second largest self storage company in the U.S., operating more than 2,000 facilities, according to the company’s website.
