{"id":1215,"date":"2022-06-24T09:36:29","date_gmt":"2022-06-24T09:36:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/listselfstorage.com\/uk\/industry-insights\/?p=1215"},"modified":"2022-06-24T09:36:29","modified_gmt":"2022-06-24T09:36:29","slug":"north-east-business-awards-cleveland-containers-is-crowned-company-of-the-year-at-teesside-business-awards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/listselfstorage.com\/uk\/industry-insights\/north-east-business-awards-cleveland-containers-is-crowned-company-of-the-year-at-teesside-business-awards\/","title":{"rendered":"North East Business Awards: Cleveland Containers Is crowned Company Of The Year At Teesside Business Awards"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!-- VideographyWP Plugin Message: Automatic video embedding prevented by plugin options. --><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Cleveland Containers has topped a record-breaking year to be named as Teesside Company of the Year at the third and final heat of the North East Business Awards.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">The Stockton based family-firm, which supplies shipping containers and provides modification services, also supplies containers for a wide variety of projects and businesses, and since launching in 2011 it has seen turnover rocket from \u00a31.1m to a record \u00a360m this year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">In 2020 it invested \u00a31.2m in a new headquarters and last year decided to launch a new division of the business, supplying other companies with site accommodations such as offices, canteens, and toilet blocks.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">The firm, which delivers hundreds of containers every week and operates out of more than 15 depots across the nation, pipped razorblue, Great North Air Ambulance, and Made For Trade to win company of the year, the last award to be presented at the black-tie event held at Middlesbrough College.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Jonathan Bulmer, managing director of Cleveland Containers, said: \u201cI think it\u2019s all about the team. We\u2019ve got a fantastic team and there\u2019s some really exciting stuff that\u2019s happening at the business going through at the moment too, that we\u2019ll be revealing next week. We\u2019ve gone from \u00a31.1m turnovers in our first year to a predicted \u00a380m next year, and it\u2019s all organic too.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">It was the first time in three years that the Teesside finalists were able to gather in person for the coveted event, after a two-year gap for the pandemic.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Other winners on the night included PD Ports, which won the Innovation &amp; Technology Award, Intelect, winner of the Apprenticeships, Training &amp; Skills Award, and Made for Trade, which took home two trophies, winning the High Growth &amp; Ambition Award and the Manufacturing Award.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.business-live.co.uk\/enterprise\/north-east-business-awards-cleveland-24304524.amp\"><strong>Source<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Cleveland Containers has topped a record-breaking year to be named as Teesside Company of the Year at the third and final heat of the North East Business Awards.
