Plans submitted to the city council would see the conversion of the vehicle repair site off Hyde Road to create the industrial building, near to the O2 Apollo venue, at a time when occupancy rates are at their highest.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Architect Create It Studios designed the scheme on behalf of developer Crown Advisory. The facility would provide a total of 80,000 sq ft of self-storage space across four floors.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Visitors would be provided with 20 car parking spaces, as well as 10 cycle spaces. <\/span><\/span><\/span>There would be two access points for the facility, one off Hyde Road and the other off Apsley Grove. The main reception would be accessed from Hyde Road.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Paul Butler Associates is the scheme\u2019s planning consultant. Axis is the transport consultant. Brennan Consult is advising on drainage strategy.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Self-storage facilities are evolving and increasing in popularity due to their versatility. According to Cushman & Wakefield\u2019s Self Storage Annual Report, rental occupancy reached a record of 83% last year with 2m sq ft of additional space occupied. This figure is up 6% from 2018.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
