The developer acquired the site from the builders\u2019 merchant for \u00a31.1m last year.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Lato, Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">The scheme is WUKPG\u2019s first foray into the self-storage sector and will provide units ranging from 50 sq ft to 300 sq ft to be managed by the developer\u2019s in-house Shutter Store brand.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Lato, Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">They will be built to \u201cinstitutional standards\u201d incorporating proptech such as Nok\u00e9 key access systems, as well as ANPR, CCTV, EV charging, solar panels and Stora booking systems.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Lato, Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">The Horwich and Northwich sites will feature five-storey self-storage buildings comprising a total of 900 units as well as drive-thru cafes.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Lato, Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">C4 Architects is leading on the design of all three schemes.
