A fast-growing Welsh storage giant has pledged to support the local community after opening its new site in Aberystwyth.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Denbigh-based Lock Stock, the UK\u2019s largest container-based storage company, had targeted the town and has moved swiftly to complete work on the eco-conscious site.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n The facility stands on land in the heart of the town at the rear of the town\u2019s Lidl and Argos stores on the busy Rheidol Retail Park and boasts just shy of an acre of space.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n It will have over 100 of the company\u2019s distinctive dark green units in a range of sizes from 10-foot long 640 cubic foot boxes, 20-footers and 10 giant 40-footers each with a massive 2,560 cubic feet of space.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n It\u2019s not just the units that are green \u2013 the site will feature solar-powered security lighting, and the ground is paved with recycled road materials \u2013 you can even see traces of the double yellow lines \u2013 trucked in from a highway resurfacing project up the road at Corris.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n The site will also have keyless entry with 24\/7 access and a brand new advanced booking system with monitored CCTV and an intercom with a link to the head office in Denbigh so new customers can sign up and start storing.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n The site will be run by Lock Stock Regional Manager for North West Wales, Lee Hanson, who said: \u201cWe\u2019re breaking new ground with our move into Ceredigion, and Aberystwyth is an ideal site for us.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cThis is a university town, and there\u2019s a definite need for storage here with a large student population and plenty of small businesses, and we\u2019re right next door to the train station.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cSmall businesses and tradespeople operate throughout Aberystwyth and we offer a flexible and more affordable storage solution.
