Self-storage operator Space Station has expanded its portfolio in Stafford with a new location at the historical site of the former Bull Hill Electricity Works.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n The newest store, officially opening on 20 April, brings the company\u2019s portfolio to 19 stores across London, Birmingham, Berkshire, Shropshire and Northamptonshire.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Spanning over 55,155 sq ft, the Stafford location will create three new jobs in the local community, as well as offering short term offices and commercial storage space on flexible terms. It will will offer a range of facilities including 24-hour CCTV security, onsite packing shop and secure keyless entry.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n The former Bull Hill Electricity Works has been a landmark building in the local community since its construction in 1895. So instead of building a brand new store, the original architecture will be kept for this new location.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Kevin Prince, chief executive officer at Space Station, said: \u201cWe are excited to be opening the new Stafford store as the next phase in our expansion plan. There\u2019s been a significant need for self-storage facilities in the UK over the years, especially in the West Midlands area. We hope that the local community and businesses in the surrounding areas love how we\u2019ve modernised this historic building.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
