\nHortons\u2019 Estate has completed the development of a facility in Birmingham on behalf of expanding family-run removal and storage company.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Squab Group has invested in the new self-storage facility on the final remaining plot at Birmingham Great Park, Hollymoor Way in Rubery.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The new freehold development features self-storage space and integral offices and will be marketed by Squab at domestic customers and the region\u2019s local small business community. It is set to open early this month following an internal fit-out.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Established by the Evans family more than 15 years ago as a storage services provider, Squab has expanded its offering to include removals, van hire, document shredding, and business center and conferencing facilities.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

It has a portfolio of existing storage locations in Evesham and Leamington Spa.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Squab\u2019s new multi-activity center in Birmingham is the second to have been developed by Hortons’, following its construction of a similar building at Asparagus Way, Vale Park in 2019.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

It also completes Hortons\u2019 involvement at Hollymoor Way, where it has previously developed a complex of multiple units, including an ambulance preparation and maintenance hub on behalf of West Midlands Ambulance Service University NHS Foundation Trust and a 50,000 sq ft manufacturing facility for Aquapark.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Alex Henney, director for the storage operations at Squab Group, said: \u201cWe are particularly excited at the opening of Squab Storage Rubery in early March. Hortons\u2019 has designed and built a phenomenal building that will provide customers with a unique self-storage experience. Our facility in Evesham \u2013 that we developed with Hortons\u2019 \u2013 has recently been voted the number one self-storage facility in Europe, and we have aspirations that our Rubery operation will continue to lead the way in the UK self-storage industry.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
