The transfer of property at Canal Ponds Business Park in Greece will pave the way for another self-storage facility in the Greater Rochester area.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Barefoot Land Co. of Cape Coral, Florida, through Barefoot Landco LLC, on Wednesday closed on a $650,000 purchase of property at 105 Pinewild Drive in Greece.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The seller of the undeveloped property was 2016 Gateway Business Center LLC, whose sole member is John Loiacono. The 2.78-acre parcel sits adjacent to Bellwood Drive and state Route 390.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Barefoot Landco LLC then made a lateral transfer of the property to Pinewild Rochester LLC., an entity that shares the same Cape Coral address. That deed filed with the Monroe County Clerk\u2019s Office on Monday shows a transaction price of $1.15 million.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Barefoot Land Co. is a real estate development firm specializing in the purchase and development of vacant property, RV parks and self-storage facilities.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Pinewild Rochester received zoning and planning board approvals in July for construction of a three-story, 121,000-square-foot indoor storage facility. The plans call for the buildout of 745 storage units ranging in size from 5-feet-by-5-feet to 10-feet-by-20-feet, according to the town planning board documents.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

While numerous self-storage facilities have opened in the Rochester metro area in the past five years, including several on the west side of Monroe County, a recent report by Self-Storage Almanac concluded that the Rochester market still remains under-served.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
