\nMacon-Bibb Planning and Zoning has approved a new business for Eisenhower Parkway.<\/p>\n

P&Z documents show that the two-story storage unit business will take over the property where Virginia College formerly operated.<\/p>\n

The business would have two entry points — one from Paul Walsh Drive and one from South Heron Street — as well as security gates in the back.<\/p>\n

The plans show that there will be 850 self storage units.<\/p>\n

The facility would be open seven days each week from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Office hours would be Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The office would be closed on Sundays.<\/p>\n

The applicant is Devon Self-Storage, a real estate company founded in 1988. They own or manage more than 183 self storage facilities in 24 states and three European countries.<\/p>\n
