A vacant lot inspired a new business idea for Sok Van, better known as Michael.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The owner of Nails Pro said he noticed people with items to sell setting up on a vacant lot at 329 Russell Road.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI thought, they have to load it up, take it there, unload it and load it back up at the end of the day,\u201d Van said. \u201cI thought it would be good to have storage there.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

So he bought the lot five years ago with the idea of creating a combination storage facility and flea market. It\u2019s called Russell Safe Storage Rental.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Van said he\u2019s never seen the two business models paired before, but it made sense to him. Storage units can be rented for $400 per month. There are 28 spots available, but Van said if there\u2019s a demand, he\u2019ll likely expand.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
