Start With the Problem, Not the AI<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

When evaluating AI, don\u2019t begin by asking, \u201cWhat does the AI do?\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Ask, \u201cWhat business problem does this solve?\u201d<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Consider five questions:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

1. What problem does it solve?<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

There should be a clear operational or financial benefit.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

2. What data is behind it?<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Is the AI using generic information, or does it understand your facility and actual operating data?<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

3. Can I understand its answer?<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The higher the stakes, the more important transparency becomes.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

4. How much human oversight does it require?<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Automation doesn\u2019t have to mean autonomy. AI can identify opportunities while operators remain in control.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

5. Will it make a meaningful difference?<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Will it save time, uncover revenue, improve service, reduce costs, or support better decisions?<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Where AI Can Deliver Value Today<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Self-storage software already contains valuable information about occupancy, rates, delinquencies, lead sources, rentals, unit performance, and customer behavior. The challenge is accessing and interpreting it.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
