The Sayreville Planning Board heard testimony about the development of a self storage facility at the former Club Pure (1970 Route 35) during its June 7 meeting. The facility will be operated by InSite Development Partners, a Torrance, CA-based self storage developer, operator, and manager. The developer seeks site plan approval for the proposed facility on Route 35.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
InSite builds storage locations under its SecureSpace brand all across the country, including a nearby facility at 1635 Stelton Road in Piscataway. In March, the company opened a facility in Livingston.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

During its heyday, Club Pure was a premier venue for private events including Bar Mitzvahs, Sweet 16s, birthday celebrations, weddings, and corporate events.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
“We don’t want to be a nightclub, we want to be a self storage facility,” Bob Smith, attorney for InSite Development Partners, said to the Planning Board.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
