A new self-storage business is coming to Benton Township.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Benton Township Board of Trustees has approved a special use permit for Joe Truman to transform a vacant building at 4090 East Napier into about 35 storage units. The building is right at the intersection of Hillandale Road.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Benton Township building official Chris Fuchs tells us the development is good for the township as it can be difficult to find uses for unused properties like it.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The township board worked with Truman to ensure issues like noise, light, and hours of use won\u2019t be a problem for nearby residents.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Truman plans to fix the building up to improve its appearance with landscaping. He is also owner of The Firm Plumbing Professional in Benton Harbor.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
