The vote came one week after Warren County Commissioners approved a zoning change that requires self-storage businesses to acquire a conditional use permit before building on land zoned for agricultural use.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u201c<span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Lato, Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">It\u2019s a bit ironic that earlier this week, the board approached the county asking for more restrictive rules around outdoor storage units and here we are as a city expanding the footprint of outdoor storage units,\u201d Alderman Ramiz Hakim said during the meeting. \u201cAnd so there\u2019s an old saying that people may know where they say the Lord works in mysterious ways. And so in this case, a private party approached the city requesting a possible development.
