A new gas station and self-storage business is opening soon in Andover, with an eye on catering to one of Allegany County\u2019s biggest tourist attractions.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Andover Gas N Go and Side by Side Self Storage plan to turn on the fuel pumps by the end of the month at the corner of Jericho Hill and Jones Road in Elm Valley.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The unique gas station will be a card-only, self-service operation with no accompanying convenience store. Fuel from Andover Gas N Go will be available 24 hours a day throughout the year.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The station features four pumps offering ethanol, non-ethanol, and diesel fuels. The fuel tanks are located above ground.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAndover is a farming community and the last thing we want to do is pose any risk to the groundwater or the ground soil. This is environmentally safe,\u201d said founder Mike Finn. \u201cPrices will be as competitive as possible for our friends and neighbors.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The station sits just down the road from Tall Pines ATV Park, which draws strong traffic from offroad enthusiasts across Western New York and beyond. Tall Pines boats over 70 miles of trails, according to its website, and offers cabins and homes to rent for extended stays.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cTall Pines is a wonderful family-run business right up the road. They service a lot of side-by-sides and four-wheelers,\u201d said Finn. \u201cThat was certainly a part of the mission here, to serve the community as well as our farming neighbors. The closest gas station is six or seven miles away depending on which way you go.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The self-storage portion of the business is also aimed at making life a little easier for visitors to Tall Pines. Six large storage units are available for people looking to park their side by sides and four-wheelers rather than haul them around during the riding season.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cInstead of trucking their side by sides and four-wheelers to Tall Pines ATV Park, they can rent a storage bay and legally drive it up the town road to Tall Pines and not have to cart them back and forth to Buffalo, Rochester, Pennsylvania or wherever they\u2019re coming from to visit Tall Pines ATV Park, which is a wonderful place to go,\u201d said Finn.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Another couple dozen smaller storage units are available for area residents and students at nearby Alfred State College and Alfred University.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Finn is working on a website for online bookings, but in the meantime, customers can call 585-507-3099 for a storage unit.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Vending machines and a car wash for vehicles and side by sides may be added down the road, but for now Andover Gas N Go is looking forward to its expected debut later this month.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

An exact opening date is yet to be determined.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
