Sunbird Storage continues to make a name for itself with eight facilities in various stages of development across North Carolina. The company reports that owners of the facilities, when shopping for property management companies, say they are drawn to Sunbird for its strong brand presence, exceptional facility management team, transparent pricing, best-in-class digital marketing services, and responsive customer care center.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Now, Sunbird Storage has opened a flagship Class A facility on Battleground Ave. in Greensboro, NC, a premier retail area in the city\u2019s main thoroughfare. The five story building occupies two acres and is approximately 91,000 gross square feet (68,000 net rentable SF), and boasts 761 climate-controlled units, security cameras, personal access codes, packing supplies, dollies, and more. The company is locally owned and operated.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The developers of the facility include Jamie Bennett, Reade DeCurtins, and Jennifer Smeeton. They are building facilities throughout North Carolina and Florida, and have developed a long-standing reputation for building Class A facilities in Canada. They chose to use Bluebird Storage Management to manage their Canadian facilities and handle the day-to-day operations due to its great reputation.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Over the past 30 years, Bluebird’s Development team has developed more than 130 self-storage locations totaling 10 million square feet across North America under various strategies and brand names. Bluebird, Canada\u2019s only coast-to-coast self-storage brand, manages a portfolio that consists of two million gross square feet and 20,000 storage units. Bluebird also has a dozen new projects in the works, which will increase its portfolio to nearly four million square feet.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Sunbird Storage Management who will be managing the Greensboro Facility is led by Jason Koonin who is also the CEO of Bluebird Storage in Canada. Sunbird entered the U.S. self-storage market in April 2023. It is headquartered in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
