\nU-Haul has announced the opening of its newest retail, moving, and self-storage center located at 306 E. University Ave. in Champaign.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

U-Haul Moving & Storage at University Avenue began serving customers on Jan. 16. The store sits right next to the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign campus and will cater to the needs of Illini students and university personnel in addition to the residents of Champaign County.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Store hours are 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Thursday and Saturday; 7 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday; and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday. Reserve self-storage and moving equipment on the U-Haul app or call the University Avenue team at (217) 351-7040.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The center\u2019s five-story, 84,360-square-foot main building holds 1,125 indoor storage units with high-tech security features at affordable price points. There are 740 climate-controlled rooms and 385 indoor heated rooms for rent.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to self-storage, customers have access to truck and trailer sharing services; professional hitch instillation and towing accessories; a large retail showroom with boxes and moving supplies; drive-in load\/unload bays to offer storage customers protection from the weather; green community programs like Take A Box Leave A Box; and much more.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The property also includes a U-Box\u00ae warehouse with the capacity to store 700 of the Company\u2019s award-winning portable moving containers.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
