A lot at a longtime car wash in the west end section of Palmerton could be converted into self-storage units.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Borough Council recently approved the planning commission\u2019s recommendation regarding the Mauch Chunk Road car wash subdivision and land development plan.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Borough Manager Autumn Canfield said the owner is listed as Mauch Chunk Wash & Storage LLC and added that the plan indicates self-storage units on one of the lots to be created. She said the car wash is not in use.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Canfield said the plans were submitted by Lehigh Engineering Associates Inc. and noted the plans are for a subdivision to divide the lot into two parcels. She said that at this time, the car wash on the property is not in use. Councilman William Gallagher was absent.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
