If you’ve been wondering what’s being built next to Aldi on U.S. 1 in Fort Pierce near Ohio Avenue, you’re not alone.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Significant groundwork has taken place in recent weeks on the property at 1300 S. U.S. 1, near the tall nets for the driving range for Indian Hills Golf Course.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

It turns out the 1.38-acre lot is the future home to a four-story, climate-controlled, self-storage facility with 178 storage units and 23 parking spots, according to a site plan for the project approved by the city.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The main 106,830-square-foot storage building, with an onsite office, plans to operate from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., according to the city.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The property has been owned by TPAD Fort Pierce LLC since 2024, when it was bought for $442,300, according to the St. Lucie County Property Appraiser’s Office. TPAD Fort Pierce LCC is registered to Daniel Abreu of Miami, according to the Florida Division of Corporations.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Abreu did not respond to a request for comment on when the facility would open.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
