U-Haul® began serving Twin Cities customers at three new self-storage facilities today and unveiled plans for another center by 2026, bolstering its self-storage footprint in Minnesota while addressing the needs of underserved residents. The three facilities offer nearly 2,600 combined indoor self-storage units with climate-control options and high-tech security features. The properties, which were previously Extra Space® Storage locations, were acquired on Thursday. U-Haul Storage at American Blvd. in Minneapolis (101 American Blvd. W.) and U-Haul Storage of St. Paul (631 Transfer Road) each have 890 self-storage units for rent.…

Dallas-based MYCON General Contractors has broken ground on an approximately 1,600-unit self-storage facility for U-Haul in Haltom City, located north of Fort Worth. The facility will consist of a 28,866-square-foot pre-engineered metal building designated for U-Box storage, a 81,978-square-foot self-storage building and five drive-up storage buildings totaling 15,500 square feet. The project marks MYCON’s eighth collaboration with U-Haul and follows the groundbreaking of an 800-unit facility in Denton. Completion is slated for a March 2025 completion. Source

U-Haul can expand and renovate its facilities in Palencia after a unanimous vote of approval for rezoning from the St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners on October 01. The project is at 6810 U.S. 1 N., near Stokes Landing Road, about half a mile north of King’s Head Pub. U-Haul plans to develop the 12.42-acre site into a self-storage and rental facility.
