A local farm stand and the long-vacant Tectonic building are being proposed to be demolished to make way for a three-story self-storage facility in Bridgewater. An application filed by Bridgewater Storage LLC will be heard at the March 25 Bridgewater Zoning Board of Adjustment meeting. The grand opening of CubeSmart Self Storage of Jacksonville at 3909 Philips Highway is March 18. The development is a joint venture between MacArthur Holdings, DYO Investments and Live Oak Capital Partners, the companies said in a March 17 news release. The city issued a permit in June 2024 for ARCO/Murray National Construction Co. to build the CubeSmart at a project cost of $6.11 million. Bakke, BCDC Break Ground on a Self-Storage Facility in West San Antonio, TX

A partnership between San Antonio-based Bakke Development Corp. and Atlanta-based Batson-Cook Development Co. (BCDC) has broken ground on Talleybak Storage, a 744-unit self-storage facility in San Antonio. The three-story facility will be located in the Alamo Ranch submarket on the city’s west side and will span 82,938 net rentable square feet of space. Construction of Storage Facility Begins Along Loxahatchee Road – Palm Beach County, FL

A self-storage facility has begun construction along Loxahatchee Road in Parkland. The project was approved in the spring of 2024, when the Parkland City Commission voted unanimously to amend the Future Land Use Map to Commercial, which allowed the 4.35 acres to be rezoned to Self-Storage. The building is expected to be a 3-story, approximately 150,000-square-foot facility.
