An industrial property in Copiague will soon be redeveloped into a self-storage facility. Lake Success-based SNL Storage purchased the 32,400-square-foot building on 1.9 acres at 1550 Sunrise Highway for $5.2 million. The property was formerly occupied by Pets Warehouse. SNL Copiague LLC, an affiliate of SNL Storage, is planning to demolish part of the existing structure and construct a three-story, 38,890-square-foot self-storage facility on the site, according to its application with the Town of Babylon. A management company that owns a Route 9 shopping plaza near the Amherst town line is considering adding a large self-storage development to an undeveloped portion of the property.
