The grand opening of CubeSmart Self Storage of Jacksonville at 3909 Philips Highway is March 18. The development is a joint venture between MacArthur Holdings, DYO Investments and Live Oak Capital Partners, the companies said in a March 17 news release. The city issued a permit in June 2024 for ARCO/Murray National Construction Co. to build the CubeSmart at a project cost of $6.11 million. A self-storage facility has begun construction along Loxahatchee Road in Parkland. The project was approved in the spring of 2024, when the Parkland City Commission voted unanimously to amend the Future Land Use Map to Commercial, which allowed the 4.35 acres to be rezoned to Self-Storage. The building is expected to be a 3-story, approximately 150,000-square-foot facility.
