Design firm Ware Malcomb said construction is complete on a new four-building, self-storage development at 89 US 46 in Budd Lake, NJ, about 45 miles west of New York City.
Ware Malcomb provided architectural design services for the 95,200-square-foot project, owned by New York-based Quinlan Development Group, LLC.
“The Budd Lake project represents a Class A self-storage facility originally designed as a speculative development,” said Jon Anderson, regional director at Ware Malcomb. “Our team designed a facility to yield the highest possible number of rentable units.”
Branded as Extra Space Storage, the 761-unit project offers many climate-controlled space options. The project can accommodate a variety of customer needs among the four buildings, with one building incorporating an interior loading dock, allowing box trucks to load/unload directly.
Other features of the project include direct unit lighting and hydraulic elevators in locations throughout.
General contracting services for the project were provided by Gerard Construction.
