Basis Industrial broke ground for a self-storage facility coming to 2560 Aurora Road.
Construction is expected to be completed by fall 2024 now that Basis Industrial has secured a construction loan for $11 million from American Momentum Bank.
The self-storage facility will feature 955 climate-controlled units, advanced security systems, and digital access.
“Our foundation at Basis Industrial is built on over 100 years of combined experience in real estate development and management,” said Anthony Scavo, president of Basis Industrial. “We’re excited for Melbourne residents to experience our work and utilize our new state-of-the-art Extra Space Storage facility.”
Melbourne was selected because of the extensive growth being seen in the area, according to Scavo.
The 126,741-square-foot facility will be managed by a third party, Extra Space Storage, upon completion.
