ABC15 reported that the company submitted plans to the city of Scottsdale for the development of a three-story building spanning over 190,000 square feet, marking a significant advancement in a multi-year effort.
U-Haul, after purchasing the site located north of Loop 101 near Pinnacle Peak Road for upwards of $5.6 million in November 2020, has aligned with RKAA Architects Inc., a local firm, to navigate the municipal application process, aiming to bring to fruition a project that encompasses 1,394 storage units and 3,000 portable storage containers dubbed “U-Boxes.” The company, steadfast in its commitment to facility development at 7300 E. Adobe Drive, pledges to cater to diverse needs through services including truck and trailer sharing, hitch installation additionally a retail space for moving essentials and accessories.
The initiative known as U-Haul Moving & Storage at Pinnacle Peak, as conveyed by KTAR, not only plans to integrate these myriad services but also proposes to generate employment opportunities within the local community, with the company’s plan to hire an estimated 20 team members upon completion of construction.
