Affinius Capital has provided a $120 million loan for the refinancing of the Prime NYC Self-Storage Portfolio, a collection of three self-storage facilities totaling 7,230 units in New York City. The names and addresses of the properties, which exclusively offer climate-controlled space, were not disclosed, but the locations span Brooklyn, Queens and The Bronx. Drew Anderman of CBRE arranged the loan through Affinius Capital on behalf of the owner, Prime Group Holdings. A new self-storage facility was approved by the Stamford Zoning Board after additional design upgrades were made to a previous plan that board members found unappealing. Extra Space Storage gained the go-ahead to build a 61,077-square-foot, three-story structure off West Main Street at Commerce Road, with 522 storage units. The Novato Planning Commission has approved a new self-storage complex, despite neighborhood opposition. The decision on Sept. 8 was unanimous. City staff determined the project is exempt from additional state environmental review. The project does not require City Council approval. The proposed 95,400-square-foot, three-building complex at 501 Davidson St. was opposed by residents in the area, which includes Slade Park.
