Smart Box Self Storage has leased 11,625 sq ft of former factory and office space in St Neots, Cambridgeshire, marking its seventh location since launching in Corby in 2022. The operator uses an app-based, fully automated access model and is expanding across the East of England and East Midlands through conversions of existing commercial premises. The St Neots site is due to open later this month following mezzanine fit-out works.
The expansion reflects broader industry interest in technology-led, unstaffed storage formats in secondary UK towns.
