North Ayrshire Council has approved a shipping container self-storage facility on vacant industrial land in Irvine. LBD Properties will install up to 80 containers at South Newmoor Industrial Estate, phased in line with demand, serving both private and business users. The application met no objections and satisfied local and national planning policy.
The consent is a further indication of container storage becoming an increasingly accepted land use within UK industrial settings.
