SecureSpace Self Storage has acquired and rebranded two adjacent facilities at 4 and 44 Research Place in Rockville, Maryland, operating them jointly as SecureSpace Rockville. The three-story buildings, constructed in 2016 and 2020, total 127,000 square feet across 1,454 units, with climate-controlled interiors and a limited number of drive-up units. Renovations, including AI-enabled security systems, are in progress.
The acquisition extends SecureSpace’s presence into a high-income Washington, DC submarket with strong highway visibility along Interstate 270.
