Third Lake Development has acquired an 87,705-square-foot office building at the Sky Town development in St. Petersburg, Florida for $6.16 million, with plans to convert it into Centro Storage, an 858-unit climate-controlled facility. The building is part of Altis Cardinal’s $800 million redevelopment of a former office campus at 3201 34th Street South, which will include 2,084 apartments and 69,000 square feet of retail. Completion is targeted for 2028.
The project reflects the growing practice of incorporating self-storage as a planned component within large mixed-use developments.
